| Woods has been delighting the diners of Cardiff since 1993 when it first opened in Talbot Green. Now sited in the Pilotage Building, the restaurant has become one of the city’s most popular spots with a chic yet welcoming ambience and a modern European menu that always seems to entice people back for repeat visits. Dishes range from Pan Seared Squid Putanesca to Nori-Rolled Ballotine of Poached Salmon with keta eggs and cucumber dressing to start, followed by mains of Roasted Lamb Rump with Provencal vegetables, lamb jus and tapenade. Demonstrating an approach that is cosmopolitan and straightforward, these are well-conceived dishes that everyone can enjoy, with local produce very much in use. With regular live music on offer and a pre-theatre menu, there’s always a good reason to make that next booking. |

Open for lunch from 12:00 to 14:00 Monday to Saturday, and 12:00 to 15:00 on Sunday.
Open for dinner from 19:00 to 22:00, Monday to Saturday (also open for dinner on Sunday from 3 June to 30 September only).
Open for pre-theatre meals from 17:30 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. |
